i know it’s hard looking for a job. i actually did a study on immigrants, foreign students looking for jobs.

yup…employers favour native canadians.

but you should not give up though. i suggest hitting the career centre and take advantage of the opportunities there.
i found my job through the career fair in sept.

Well, I grew up in Korea until I was 13, so I doubt I”ll have a culture shock.

You gained a couple of visitors through my site as it appears which is always good.

Anyhow, yeah, good luck with you in the real world!

If I was ever given a choice and the means, I would have gone to Korea. With my degree and English, I’d have been pretty popular there. Oh well, that’s life.

Life is what you make out of it, I learned, so do your best… and don’t get married too early. It’s difficult to juggle a career and a family — especially if you aren’t going to settle in one country.

Well, that’s just my opinion of course.

Ivy: Yes! You’ll be worshipped in Korea for your English skills but then again, whether you enjoy it or not will be a different thing. I have a friend who is doing the same in Japan – and he’s really unhappy because it’s hard to relate to people there sometimes. We may be of the same ethnicity but our backgrounds are worlds apart. Bridging that will be quite challenging for a lot of people I think.

And don’t worry about getting married early. Marriage for me is out of the question until I hit late 20s/early 30s – especially since I absolutely hate little kids.
