A New Theme A Year Later

It’s been one whole year since my last post.

As I grow older, I have come to realize how short 24 hours a day really is. There are so many things to do, so many things to experience that, I guess, sharing the little observations about my life has found itself much lower on my list of priorities. Over the year, I’ve been dedicating a lot of my free time reading, studying and meditating. It’s definitely not a year of accomplishments, but one about rediscovering myself and seeking clarity. I’ll write more about it another day, perhaps.

New Theme: Diamond

Last weekend, I decided to refresh my jQuery knowledge on CodeAcademy and remembered how fun it was to code in the middle of the night. Then it suddenly dawned on me that I had a half-designed theme on nanyate.com. And so I gave it new life and here it is.

It’s not my greatest or most inspirational work but one that has helped me grow, nonetheless. It’s the first mobile responsive theme I’ve created, and I switched the base code from 960 Grid System to Bootstrap. This site provides plenty of tips on designing and optimizing your website so it’s not just aesthetically pleasing but also income-generating.

Where is nanyate.com going from here?

I honestly don’t know yet. I recently funded another blogging platform called Ghost on Kickstarter, and I am hoping to replace WordPress with that – depending on how it’s executed. I’ve also thought about leaving nanyate.com and starting fresh on a new domain.

We shall see.
